Xinyu is a newly certified Pilates instructor. She embarked on her fitness journey in 2017, driven by a desire to lose "Freshman 15." As she reached her goal, she found that working out has become part of her daily routine, and she is passionate about trying various sports and fitness movements. Isabella Carvajal has been a dedicated yoga student since the age of 17, when she first started practicing Baptiste yoga in North Texas. Isabella completed her first 200-hour teacher training in the Baptiste power yoga system. She then moved to Washington where she completed her second 200-hour Bikram and Power yoga teacher training. During this time, Isabella began working as an ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum. She brought yoga into her workplace and implemented yoga into all of her clients’ programs. She saw how this practice improved kid’s emotional regulation and how that positively affected other areas of their lives. Isabella decided to dive deeper into that and completed a kids yoga training through YogaCalm which is geared to build resilience in children. Additionally, she most recently completed a 200-hour in Ashtanga/Rocket Yoga at the Yoga with Carson Academy.
Isabella’s yoga practice holds her accountable for how she’s showing up in her life and where she’s staying in her comfort zone. She wants her students to experience the same. With her experience in different yoga systems, Isabella strives to create a safe and empowering environment that honors the roots of yoga while providing a safe place to be true with yourself and grow.

Marisa started her yoga journey over 20 years ago to get back in shape after giving birth to her daughter. Just like any beginner, she practiced at home using instructional videos. The first time she stepped into an actual yoga studio, years later, it was a Hatha Hot 26+2 class. Little did she know that first class would change her life forever. The in-person yoga class challenged her in more ways both physically and mentally than any online class she had ever taken. She decided then and there to practice regularly and never looked back. The daily interactions with various yoga instructors and other yogis resulted in faster gains and improvements in her own practice. Beyond that, yoga gave her the opportunity to look at life more objectively and with greater awareness.
Back in 2019, after almost 15 years of being a dedicated student of yoga and seeing how much yoga had helped her, she decided she wanted to share these benefits with others by becoming a teacher. She also recognized that even being the best student doesn't automatically make you a great teacher, so once again, she set out to learn and experience more. Now, with a 500 RYT certification, over 200 hours of continuing education and 500+ hours of teaching experience, she not only knows how to guide her students but also how to support them in their journey while maximizing their progress. She specializes in Hatha Hot 26+2, Hot Power Fusion, Vinyasa/Power Vinyasa, Yoga Sculpt and Yin. She is also an experienced Yoga Teacher Training Coach and Soundbath Facilitator using Crystal Singing Bowls.
"I hope to help every one of my students achieve more success, more happiness, greater peace, and aid in their discovery of what is possible, all through yoga. Namaste."
When Elisa took her first Pilates reformer class in March 2022, she wondered why she hadn’t discovered it sooner. She fell in love with Pilates and decided to become an instructor, earning her certification in February 2024.
Elisa grew up dancing and majored in Dance in college in Taiwan. After moving to the U.S., she continued taking ballet and has taught Aerial Yoga since Fall 2019. Known for her patience and attention to detail, she emphasizes correct form and doing exercises effectively. Elisa believes that fitness, including Pilates, is a lifelong journey, and that learning never ends.
My journey into Pilates began in 2017 during my time at UC Berkeley as a college student. Out of curiosity, I found a Pilates studio through online search and started my practice. It has since become a routine in my life.
Since an early age, I've been captivated by the wonders of the human body and movement in general, dedicating my free hours to swimming and taking various dance lessons, from traditional Chinese dance to Salsa.
Influenced by my parents' deep-rooted passion for traditional Chinese medicine, Tai Chi, and the importance of a balanced lifestyle, I began to realize just how much potential there is if Eastern and Western wellness philosophies converge. Driven by this mission, I embarked on my journey of Pilates instructor training with Balanced Body. I did most of my studies in California under the tutelage of master trainers such as Nancy Myers and Maria Leone. These experiences not only fortified my skill set but also deepened my understanding and passion for Pilates.
What I love most about Pilates is that there is always more to learn and improve. It’s truly a life-long journey. As an instructor, I want to grow together with my clients and help them achieve their goals in strengthening not only the physical body but also the mind.
I am also fluent in Mandarin if that’s ever helpful!!
